I've tried to memorize more Al-Mulk verses but it seems that

 I'm not quite remember it well yet.

Currently, it's only 23 verses that I could reach so far.
Meanwhile, for Surah Yasin I remember 74verses.

I've memorize 56verses of Surah Yasin.but yet,still in progess memorizing Surah Al-Mulk as well.

 I'm not able to memorize more Yasin verses recently because I regularly
 forgot the continuity of one verses to another. and sometimes, I still won't be
 able to recall it fluently.Still need more practice.

For the past few day, I've started to cluster Surah Al-Mulk 

verses into group.

btw,for me it's more convenient. Amazingly, my thought or perception perceiving the quantity of the verses had change. 

It seems to reduce my fear, thinking whether I   

might be able to memorize all of it.

and how is it so...? 

presumably, because I only perceive the quantity of the 

verse based on the number of group that I had categories.

It's been a while since I haven't update the blog.

Alhamdullilah, mid term examination was done.

Dr.Lihanna already told us not to forgot updating our blog.Thank you Dr.Lihanna by reminding us so.

It's not that I wanna put aside the technique of rehearsal by continuously hear the Qur'anic recitation. Instead, I've come across why don't I use other technique as well. 

Preferences that I would to add up to is by using the chunking technique. Specifically, it is where bits of information are combined into meaningful units. Why use this method?
 
         " It enables more information could be kept in the short term memory"

Yes..in my opinion maybe by doing it,combining the two methods will attract me more. Maybe I'll crave more for excitement in memorizing. To begin with, I prefer to chunk with 3interval.

Surah Al-Mulk.


So,instead of having more I just end up adding only 1 verse of Al-Mulk.

It's 2.10 a.m already. owhh..no.. !! I'm not getting sleepy yet.
Thankfully, 2morrow's still holiday.

I'm not getting through a book to read since I'm already tired but I can't sleep.

While surfing the Internet, I open Al-Qur'an Digital software to hear Yasin and Al-Mulk recitation.
For surah Al-Mulk I've already memorize 5verses.
For me,by continuously hearing the Quranic phoneme it help me familiarize and pronounce the verse easily. To make things more convenient, I even put the software into my MP5 gadget.

These are several of benefits of memorizing  surah Al-Mulk

• The Prophet said, ‘There is a surah in the Qur’an which is only thirty verses. It defended whoever recited it , until it puts him into paradise ‘ i.e.Surah al Mulk[Fath al Qadir 5/257, Sahihul Jamiea 1/680, Tabrani inAl-Awsat & Ibn Mardawaith]

• The Prophet said, ‘Surah al Mulk is the protector from the torment of the grave ‘[Sahihul Jamiea 1/680, Hakim 2/498 & Nasai]

•  Jabir (r.a) said it was the custom of the Holy Prophet s.a.w not to go to sleep until he had read Tabarakalladhi Biyadihil Mulk and Alif Laam Meem Tanzeel. [Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Darami]

•  Anas (radiAllahu anhu) reported Rasulullah s.a.w as saying, “There is a Surah which will plead for its reciter\till it causes him to enter paradise (Tabarakalladhi Biyadihil Mulk).”[Tabrani]“

Hi readers..

First of all I would like to express "SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILADHA" to all Muslims.

It's kinda long since I haven't update my blog.

For my memorization process I really wanna give my appreciation to my roommates. They do really help me.

Since I've forgotten some of the Qur'anic verses (precisely Surah Yasin) it think it could be much difficult for me in the future.

So,they make a suggestion to me by saying "why don't you use Al-Qur'an Digital software, it is efficient since it have Qur'anic words with an audio reciting it".

I stood for a while and immediately agreed to have it.Indeed it was very useful. I can recall by memorization easily.

Besides, I could also manage to hear the Qur'anic recitation while surfing the Internet.

Currently,I've memorize 47 verses of Surah Yasin.

    Alhamdulillah.  Now,I've come to an ease. After several trial and error with my blog account.  
YESS..!! at last,I do manage to sign in to my blog account.

       Memorizing do need repetition and I've forgot several of the verses that I've memorized. Due to that, I try to find new alternatives to counter this barrier. I'm really grateful to my roommates for giving me an Al-Qur'an Digital software. She said "it was very useful,  in addition it have Qur'anic verses with an audio reciting it". Yes,indeed. By using it, I could hear the reciting while surfing the Internet.

Blogging Stuff

I'm officially have done creating my blog...
Diz blog is specifically entitled for my class project; memorization of Quranic verses....
for semester (1,20011/2012). It was for Psychology of Learning (PSYC 1080) course which was taught by Dr.Lihanna Borhan.
 
We're suppose to memorize Surah Yasin and choose one optional Surah.
 so far, I've already memorize 30 verses of  Surah Yasin. I hope I wouldn't forget it.
